Wasn't able to complete a very tall project just because i wasn't good enough at pulling walls. I was able to finish throwing an altered project but Ms.H ended up throwing it away.

This here is my second theme project and it resembles a slushie cup. It is about 5 inches tall by 3 inches wide. I glazed it by dipping the bottom in a light red almost orange and the lid in a white. I re glazed strips of it a different shade of red. The white marks are supposed to spell out Icee but cant quite be made out. It didn't turn out quite as I had hoped but it still looks nice. Again I learned how to be creative when thinking up new projects to create. I utilized shape, color, as well as pattern in this project to set it apart from the rest. the significance behind it is me thinking of making a cup but thats boring so i thought of something better.
This here is my themed project and it is about 4 inches tall by 3 inches wide. I glazed it by dipping a majority of it into blue then dipping the rest in white with a little bit of overlap. Most of my projects don't require much imagination but these theme projects to think out of the box a bit so that was nice. I feel I used a good balance of space and shape. I used a whole puncher in somewhat of a pattern to leave holes for candle light. My mom collects a lot of various candle holders so i thought id make something that is very useful to her.
This here is my bowl I'm donating to the food bank it is about 6 inches wide by 3 inches tall. I glazed it by filling this inside with a white glaze that mixing a brown blue and green glaze on the outside as well as the rim of the bowl. I think this shows my ability to make bowls has increased. From my first to my last is a lot of improvement. I was able to make a well centered and shaped bowl with a nice glaze too it.
This here is my other bowl and it is about 6 inches in diameter and 2.75 inches tall. I began glazing my dipping it diagonally into multiple glazes. Afterwards I dropped black glaze onto the outside of the bowl which caused a medley of colors to create a cool pattern. I utilized a uniform bowl shape as well as a mixture of patterns and colors. This is just a progression in my ability to make bowls easier and better each time.
This here is my first bowl of the quarter and was thrown ok but I feel the glaze turned out well. It 5 inches wide by 2.5 inches tall. It is predominantly green with blue spots inside the bowl. They seemed to have messed with the green to create a nice pattern. I utilized colors and patterns to enhance the overall look of the bowl. The significant meaning behind this bowl is just me experimenting with new glazing techniques.
This here is my set of three plates they are all relatively the same size. They are about 6 inches in diameter and and 0.75 inches thick. I glazed two the same color on accident but seems to have turned out fine. Each is half black and the other half is either green or blue. I progressively got better with each plate. I was able to incorporate different structure into each while keeping them looking the same. The meaning behind them is that I will be gifting them to my brother because he recently had bought a new house.
This is my extra choice project and it is 5 inches tall by 6 wide. I glazed it by dipping it in a green glaze then cross glazing it blue on both sides. The bottom portions are left unglazed. The glazes seemed to mix color which looks nice. I didnt really learn a new skill rather just learned how to fix my mistakes. While establishing a base the bottom collaped but seemed to turn out fine. I seemed to use an out of ordinary shape and mixing of colors for my art elements. This basically says that i made a mistake while throwing and was able to correct into and turn it into something.
This here is my lidded project and it is about 5 inches tall and 3 and a half inches wide. It has a yellow base base and a black lid. It resembles the pot from winny the poo pot with "hunny" spelled on the side. I learned how to make a planter and transform it into a lid. I used cultural influence in the design of my lidded project.
This here is my frankenpot it is about 7 inches tall and 4 inches wide. My partners brent and Kajia helped with assembly and I added some design features prior too. A new skill I learned is too assemble prices of a cylinder while on the wheel. The pot was a bit off center so I had the idea too make it resemble a tornado. I used an exacto knife to make cutouts and glazed it with mostly gray and a few hits of blue. The importance of this project is turning turning something imperfect into something with art and design elements.
